Songs October

EDyTIC invites English teachers to participate in the workshop “Using Songs in the English Classroom”, a practical and reflective session exploring how songs can be used to support language learning and how artificial intelligence can help teachers create and adapt musical resources for pedagogical purposes.

Date and time

Thursday, October 8, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

What will we do?

During the workshop, participants will:

  • Explore some theoretical principles behind the use of songs in language teaching and learning.
  • Reflect on the importance of designing tasks that teach and develop listening skills, rather than simply testing whether learners can identify words.
  • Experiment with ideas for turning a song into a meaningful learning experience, going beyond traditional gap-filling activities.

Who is it for?

English teachers in Secondary Education who are interested in exploring the pedagogical potential of songs and discovering practical ways of using AI to create songs and adapt resources for their classrooms.
